Abstract

The reaction of some 2-phenylimidazo[2,1-b]benzothiazoles (1) with organometal reagents (n-BuLi, n-Bu₂CuLi, i-Pr₂NLi and EtMgBr) has been investigated. Two reagents (n-BuLi and n-Bu₂CuLi) induced the nucleophilic substitution reaction on sulfur of 1 and to give the C-S bond cleaved compounds.
