Abstract

Synthesis of 7-amino-4,5,6,7-tetrahydrothieno[3,4-c]pyrid-4-ones is achieved involving 6-amino-5,6-dihydro-4H-cyclopenta[c]thiophen-4-ones in Beckmann and Schmidt rearrangements.
